Installation Picture Package Requirements

Install and Submit Requirements

Scope: This is to identify the minimum requirements of Daylight to install and submit an approved picture package for milestone payments set forth by the MSA between the installer and the Daylight.

The following categories and expectations should be met by the contractor taking photos and submitting:

  1. Material Pictures

1A. BOM Packing Slip: Panels & Optimizers - the packing slip for the BOM, showing all panels and all optimizers

2A. BOM Panels Delivered - the panels and their condition, shipped and delivered (all sides)

3A. BOM Racking Delivered - all the racking materials delivered and ensure counts are correct.

4A. Serial Numbers from Supplied Boxes - Serial numbers listed on the delivered material boxes

5A. Plan Set - Install-ready CAD/Plan set being referenced on-site

  1. Pre-installation

1B. House Photos - All Angles - photos of the house from all corners of the house

2B. Address Photo - the house showing the address in the photo (Mailbox or Door)

3B. Preexisting Damage on Property - Any visible damages on or around the house

4B. Proposed Installation Area - Step back + take photos of entire Left + Right views of where installation will occur

5B. Safety: Anchor Points & Ropes - photos of anchor points, attachments of ropes on all roof plains

  1. Roof Work

1C. Required: RSD Serial Numbers - the listed Serial numbers of all RSD’s, show the actual numbers on the RSD

2C. Required: Panel Serial Numbers - the serial numbers on ALL panels individually + clearly

3C. All Roof Plains Pre-Installation - Photos of all roof plains

4C. Pre-existing Roof Damage or Issues - Any visible damages on the roof pre-installation

5C. Roof Layout with Mounts Prior to Racking - Show the layout using mounts, with measurements

6C. Roof Racking Installation - Detailed - All parts of the racking, photos of all arrays with racking installed on the roof, show how many lags were used, sealant used, LEFT, RIGHT, and CENTER photos

7C. Soladeck/JB’s Installation - Show the Soladeck/JB installation to the roof, sealant and holes drilled, include means of attachment as well (screws installed, ALL)

8C. Pre-Wiring Soladeck/JBs - Show the Soladeck/JB’s installed pre-wired on the roof, including means of attachment

9C. Wiring in Soladeck/JBs - Show the wiring/Splicing in Soladeck/JB’s, including clear pictures of all necessary bonding and grounding

10C. Racking Bonding - Show bonding of all arrays to the racking or rail, North/South bonding

11C. Racking with Optimizer/Micro/RSD - Show all RSD’s and attachment means to the racking

12C. Roof Conduit - ALL roof conduit on the roof and supporting means of attachment

13C. Panels Installed - all arrays installed, showing a LEFT, CENTER, and RIGHT photo of all arrays. Ensure photo of mid and end clamps are included and clearly visible

14C. RSD Attachment - photo of the RSD attached to the panel if applicable

15C. RSD Mapping/Layout - mapping of the panels on the roof, show all listed S/N’s of the RSD’s and location, indicate whether 1:1 or 2:1

16C. Tilt Angle of Panels - photo of the tilt angle of the panels, ensure clear and visible photo

17C. Measurement of Racking Spacing, Set Backs & Clearances - Show racking spacing, fire set backs, and all necessary clearances around the panel installations

18C. Optional: Drone / Step-Back Shot of All Arrays - Individual array shots plus one full overview shot

  1. Equipment Mounting and Installation

1D. System Overall: Open, Prewired- photos of the entire equipment layout with all conduits and prewired in the OPEN position of all installed equipment

2D. System Overall: Open, Wired - photos of the entire equipment layout with all conduits and wiring in the OPEN position of all installed equipment

3D. Interconnection Disconnect-Show the AC disconnect in the OPEN and CLOSED position, ensure all wiring in the open position is visible and clear

4D. Fuses - Show all fuses up close with visibility of the Ampacity and voltage

5D. Wire Size - Show the wire size of the feeders from the means of interconnection to the inverter/IQ box

6D. Combiner Box - Show all photos of the AC combiner or IQ Box in the OPEN/COVERED

7D. Inverter Serial Number & Nameplate Sticker - Clear photo of brand name, model, and serial number - take BEFORE mounting

8D. Inverter Wiring: Open & Closed - Show the installation of the inverter and its wiring with OPEN and CLOSED wiring compartment

9D. Bonding and Grounding: All Equipment - all bonding and grounding within the system. Please show clear close-up and away photos, and show what piece of equipment is being represented, all the way back to the main means of bonding and grounding

10D. System Overall: Closed with Stickers - photos of the entire equipment layout with all the conduit and stickers on the system in the CLOSED position of the equipment

  1. Battery / Storage

1E. Battery: Exterior & Location - Outside and from-afar photos showing battery in context of home

2E. Battery: Interior Wiring - Open compartment showing all wiring and connections

3E. Battery Serial Number & Nameplate - Clear photo of nameplate label with serial number

4E. Emergency Panel: Open & Closed - Open & closed images showing wiring, panel labeling, & necessary stickers on equipment

  1. Interconnection

1F. Interconnection Photo-Show picture of tap or breaker termination of feeder feeding the solar AC Disconnect

2F. CTs Installed -Show Picture of CT’s installed on the proper side of the tap points or other locations where necessary

3F. Interconnection Bonding and Grounding-Show pictures of the bonding and grounding to all means, Ex. Ground rods, water pipe, equipment grounding at tap point, etc

  1. Post Installation

1G. Required: All Commissioning Photos* - the necessary screenshots/photos of a completed commissioning: operational photo, paired photo, commissioning reports by vendor.

*Please follow the Daylight Commissioning Checklist for your market to ensure completion of this required field

2G. Commissioning: Ethernet/Wi-Fi Dongle, Gateway SN & Key

3G. Meter/RGM Serial Numbers - All metering S/N’s or Gateways for RGM’s (Revenue Grade Meters)

4G. Site Condition - the area worked in to ensure no unnecessary damage to property, bushes or other. Include the whole house area, ensuring the site is clean and free of debris
